An operation on a five-year-old girl with a “hole in the heart” performed by Dr C. Walton Lillehei at the University of Minnesota hospital. Shows a special “heart-lung” machine which enables doctors to operate without interrupting the patient’s blood circulation. Suitable only for members of the medical and nursing professions and students of such professions.
