Shows the early attempts by Farrer to produce a rust-resistant wheat; the type of wheat developed by Farrer for cultivation in the dry inland areas; the importance and extent of the present day wheat industry; problems confronting the wheat farmer; transport and storage of wheat; the manufacture of flour.
