Portrays he lives and superstitions of the Lapps. In the spring the reindeer herds go north, tended by all family except elders and school children. Young Nils however, wooed by the voice of the West Wind, escapes the schoolroom in a day dream and experiences the adventures of which all Lapp boys dream. This film is a re-edit of an earlier film “Wind from the West” [012005].
