A re-enactment depicting pioneer life in the West from the pint of view of a 10-year-old boy who makes the journey to Oregon with his family, at the close of the period when the Appalachians were a barrier to westward movement. Life on the trail, religious activities of the settlers, and the dangers and hardships encountered.
