The history of Australia is reflected in its various changes of currency. The story is told ful1 circle, from the first decimal coins, Spanish dollars, used in early Sydney, through the beginning of the Bank of New South Wales, the Gold Rush, Federation, Depression, two World Wars and finally the Decimal Currency Commission of 1959. Highlights include Ned Kelly’s daring robberies; opening of the first Parliament in 1910. Narrated by Roland Strong.
