Adapted metal cutting machines can greatly improve quality control, reduce scrap, decrease operator fatigue, and generally allow labour to be used more efficiently. Dealing with the use of a capstan lathe it is proposed that a job should be able to be rest before t becomes necessary. Problems of suing hie method are discussed and types pf controls available for particular jobs including fluid logic and pneumatic circuitry.
