Episode of Series “Simple Machines”.
Illustrates a simple machine and, by explaining the principle of its operation, shows how pulleys make possible the lifting of heavy loads with a minimum of effort. Both the fixed pulleys , which changes the direction of force and the moveable pulleys which multiply force are examined in detail along with the block and tackle system. Shows the functions of different kinds if pulleys as they are seen in everyday use.
