A report on the world-wide investigations into the origins of life, as revealed in the study of the cell, and progress in the battle against cancer. British, American, French and Russian scientists tell of current lines of research into the origins of cancer in the light of what has already been discovered about the cell. The clinical aspects of cancer are not dealt with.
