Presents every aspect of preparation for competitive sports cycling, from an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of cycling through to extensive fitness tests, the design of a racing machine, winter training, diet, exercise, massage and tactical instruction and preparation for road and track events. The most important racing techniques are also explained using slow motion and illustrated in action using footage from the Rome Olympics.
