It was believed that the spirits of the gods made flowers their home, therefore the coming of Spring and the blooming of the flowers is an important time in Japan. Camellias and cherry blossom are representative of all Japanese flowers, and are in evidence during the traditional festivals. Shows the making of elaborate dolls for the Doll Festival.
