This film deals with the study of astronomy from the time of the early Egyptians and Greeks, through the Middle Ages, when Galileo’s asertion that the earth moved revolutionised science, until the present day. The discovery of the telescope, and its development to the precision instrument it is today, is dealt with in detail.
