Episode number 1 of Series “Structure and Properties of Steel”.
Explains how grain structure and grain size in steel are affected by its carbon content the way in which it is worked and its heat treatment. Indicates also how properties of hardness, ductility and tensile strength are due to differences in its internal structure.
