System 6: a fragile nest

System 6 is the name given by the Environmental Protection Agency to the area around Perth. It includes the Darling Ranges and the Swan River System. The detrimental effect of the urban sprawl and industrialisation in the karri forests, on sand dunes, and under the sea, is examined. Suitable for middle and upper secondary levels.
