Episode of Series “The World of work”.
Follows one day’s preparation of an evening TV news broadcast at a major New York studio, showing how stories are assigned and reported, with examples of on the spot coverage. Concentrates on the editorial and technical teamwork involved in the selection and final preparation of news stories to be presented on air, with special emphasis on the contributions of key members of the newsroom staff. Narrated by John Barnes.
