Episode of Series “Is this your career series”
Complex machinery is necessary at the various levels of textile manufacture. Follows the raw cotton through the spinning mill as it is processed into yarn. Then to the knitting mill, where yarn is woven into knitted garments. In the weaving mill, entirely different processes are carried out by different machines. Throughout the film, textile technicians are seen servicing this specialised machinery, some of which can tie the ends of broken yarn together again.
