The broad and busy rivers of Thailand are her life blood. In the development of river communications, of irrigation schemes, and of fishing. Thailand works closely with the UN. The efficiently organised river traffic has provided a model for UN technical assistance advisers; loans from the International Bank help the advancement of irrigation and flood control project; and a Food and Agriculture Organisation Commission cooperates with local experts in fishery research.
