A survey of Australia’s national radio network and the programs it provides. The network consists of transmitters in the metropolitan areas of the Commonwealth; regional relay transmitters and Radio Australia. The ABC broadcasts a total of 1000 hours of programs every day in the year (1954); various departments compile these programs - News, Sporting, Talks, School Broadcasts etc. The film includes behind-the-scene shots of such programs as Dr Floyd’s Music Lovers’ Hour, Kindergarten of the Air, The Country Hour, Blue Hills and The Village Glee Club.
