Episode of Series “We Make Music”
A demonstration of the kettle drums, showing the complications of the tuning of each drum to the required pitch. The modern pedal kettle drum has a mechanism for automatic adjustment of the skin. A tuning gauge helps the timpanist to determine his pitch.
