A joint British-American documentary account of the allied invasion of Europe during World War II compiled from footage shot by nearly 1400 cameramen. Introduced by General Eisenhower it covers all the major events of the war in Europe from the Normandy landings to the fall of Berlin. Cast includes Dwight D. Eisenhower (as himself), Robert Harris (commentator) and Peter Ustinov (as himself). (Award: Best Documentary, Features 1946 Academy Awards)
