Value analysis is a disciplined approach to cost reduction by the systematic examination and appraisal of the product and its components. Introduced in an engineering company, it emphasises the importance of team approach and describes in detail the various stages of a value analysis investigation. Some convincing examples of reduction in costs through value analysis.
