Shows the result of twenty years of research work at the hydrologic laboratory on the Coweeta Experimental Forest in the Natahala Mountains of North Carolina. Illustrates the experiments conducted to define more exactly the damage to water supplies and soil. This was done by creating the conditions of unplanned hillside farming, woodlands grazing, and indiscriminate logging.
