Tells the story of Miguel, a Puerto Rican American who loses the dollar for his father’s birthday dinner fish. Recalling how he and his father used to fish in Puerto Rico, Miguel tries the city river without success. As he goes home the fishseller hires him to translate for Spanish-speaking customers and Miguel learns the advantages of biculturalism.
