Made by Telecom and the Postmaster-Generals dept. the film shows the work of laying a 600-mile coaxial cable from Perth to Carnarvon, W.A. The pipe is a link in the national broad-band telecommunication network extending the range of subscriber trunk dialling and television relay facilities.
