An Australian looks at the problems faced by migrants in learning to speak English. Through his investigation we learn that they face many problems: pressures of finding work as soon as they arrive, difficulties in finding classes that don’t conflict with work hours, working in jobs where there is little communication with others. Isolation restricts their practice of language
