The work of the Post Office research laboratories in Melbourne in a brief coverage of six of the many current research projects. These are: testing of telephones, operation of the time and frequency standard, the effect and control of plume radiation on aerial systems, microwave propagation testing, experiments with optical fibres and trials conducted with a computer controlled exchange.
