This film explores parts of an all night performance of the Wayang Kulit, a traditional Javanese puppet play. The characters in the film are from the Mahabharata, a story of Hindu origin, telling of the great war between the five Pendawa brothers who represent good and their cousins - the Korawas, who represent evil.
