Episode of Series “The 21st Century”.
An exploration of the ocean floor in a diving bell submarine that takes divers to an underwater residence for aquanauts. Among other devices shown are a four-story laboratory, a submarine with wheels and a remote controlled recovery robot. Interviews by Walter Cronkite with specialists in this area of research, including Jacques Cousteau, are featured also.
