An introduction (using animation) showing growth and decline of power before World War II, destruction during the war and reconstruction after. Shows rural life being replaced by urbanization; Poland’s past struggle for independence; fluctuations in government; and previous influence and an analysis of the present industrialization, agriculture, politics and position in the world.
