Explores the dense tropical rain forest of eastern India, showing close up views of representative animals in their native environment - the crocodile, tiger, python, cobra, mongoose, monkey and elephant. Describes and illustrates the pattern of survival in the jungle, pointing out the ways of the hunters and the defences of the hunted. Photography by Jack Cardiff. Suitable for upper primary and lower secondary levels.
