Episode of Series “I myself”
Tracey and Trevor discuss how they feel about being a girl and a boy. They reveal their own values and comment on the expectations and prejudices of others, including their friends family and society. The film looks at conflicts faced by children who do not wish to conform to commonly-held sex-role stereotypes.
Our collection comprises over 40,000 moving image works, acquired and catalogued between the 1940s and early 2000s. As a result, some items may reflect outdated, offensive and possibly harmful views and opinions. ACMI is working to identify and redress such usages.
