The story of Yollie, a shy, withdrawn deaf child, and her meeting with a mime. Yollie is entranced by Jeff, a mime artist who comes to perform for her class. Jeff teaches her some mime routines and they perform together for the whole school. As Yollie says goodbye to Jeff she discovers that he too has a hearing problem.
