On their way to America, Charlie befriends a girl and her mother after an incident aboard ship. Later ashore they become involved in one of the funniest restaurant sequences ever filmed. One of the top Chaplin comedies of the mutual period. Cast also includes Edna Purviance, Eric Campbell, Albert Austin, Henry Bergman.
