A dramatisation of two old friends who give each other support in dealing with the loneliness of old age. In the film, one of the two old men is expecting his married daughter back from overseas for Christmas and plans a splendid dinner. Unable to raise credit at the local shop to buy a goose, he persuades his reluctant old friend to help him “catch” one.
