An expressionistic masterpiece which concerns a sinister hypnotist, Dr. Caligari, who exhibits his creature, a somnambulist named Cesare, at the town fair. A series of bizarre murders follows and Dr. Caligari is accused of using the somnambulist to commit the murders. Features macabre theatrical-style set designs influenced by German Expressionism.
