Part 7 of a series of films for managers. Examines the reasons why so many misunderstandings occur between specialists and the “line” managers they advise. A film of an argument between a production manager and a services engineer is used as the basis for a discussion between personnel, finance and works managers, and consultants on the sources of interdepartmental problems. Introduced by Brian Redhead.
