Episode of Series “Life Support”.
Examines and defines the altered consciousness state and the problems it causes, in particular, the patient being unable to recognise and thus react to dangers either external e.g. fire, or internal e.g. blocked airway. Looks at Epilepsy, diabetes and head injuries as specific examples. Emergency treatment included . WARNING-The Epilepsy Foundation of Victoria has advised that this program contains outdated information and shows practices no longer followed.
