Animated puppet story about Matty, a poor glassmaker, who vows to marry his sweetheart Cordelia when he gains some money. On the way to the market Matty stops to drink with a friend and loses his wares. Angry at Matty for his recklessness, Cordelia calls on Krakonos the Mountain King to devise a test for Matty so he can prove his worth.
