Celebrity veterinarian, Dr. Peter Higgins, offers practical advice on selecting and maintaining an appropriate breed of dog and its suitability to the family environment. The first part of the video introduces the viewer to a wide range of popular breeds through an interview format with top breeders. They discuss the canine character and special traits of particular breeds. The second part focuses on pet care and Dr. Higgins explains about de sexing, feeding, first aid, fleas, heart worm, ticks and vaccinations.
