Debating Techniques

In this program, the formal rules and techniques of Debating are presented in detail. Middle School students are involved in a debate, providing a real context for the presentation of the techniques. The Debate, its format, the role of each team and of each member of the team, are explained and demonstrated. Adjudication of the Debate is included.

Content notification

Our collection comprises over 40,000 moving image works, acquired and catalogued between the 1940s and early 2000s. As a result, some items may reflect outdated, offensive and possibly harmful views and opinions. ACMI is working to identify and redress such usages.
