Sydney’s famous Bondi Beach came alive with a foot-tapping, head-nodding event, the First Australian Jazz Summit. All styles of jazz were represented, from modern, traditional through to avant-garde. Various ensembles and configurations of players performed, from standard groups to Big Bands, feature soloists and, of course, jam sessions and improvisation. Rated: G
