Filming in Australia has been described as “Switzerland wanting to go to Texas”. In this program, John Baxter, well-known Australian film historian and cinema critic, looks at the state of the Australian film industry. This is part five of a ten part documentary “Filmstruck” which considers the impact of cinema on the social and personal life of the viewing audience.
