Kayaking: the basic skills provides instructors and teaches with demonstration models, analyses of good technique and a summary of major coaching points for teaching basic flat water skills and white water manoeuvres to novice paddlers. It includes points about equipment and safety, turning strokes, forward and reverse paddling, support strokes, ferry glides, breaks ins and outs and capsize drill.
