This program provides instructors and teachers with demonstration models, analyses of good technique and a summary of major coaching points for teaching basic flat water skills and white water manoeuvres to novice paddlers in Canadian c1 and c2 canoes. It includes points about equipment and safety, turning strokes, forward and reverse paddling, support strokes, ferry glides, breaks ins and outs and capsize drill.
