A collection of films of Maya Deren. 1. “Private Life of a Cat” An animal’s outlook on life, narrated by Maya Deren, but directed by Alexander Hammid; 2. “Study in Choreography” A dancer moves across a land scape; 3. “Very Eye of Night” Dancers performing in negative; 4. “Meditation on Violence” A young Oriental man performs shadowboxing; 5. “Ritual in Transfigured Time” Movements of the dancers are merged with a variety of photographic effects.
