This program emphasises the age old axiom “don’t volunteer” following the top secret chemical warfare experiments conducted on Australian volunteers during World War II. Scientists, laboratory assistants and volunteers recount their horrific experiences with the Australian Chemical Warfare Unit and the mustard gas experiments amidst the tropical beauty of Northern Queensland.
