Set in Indonesia during the 1965 civil strife, this adaptation of the of the novel by C.J. Koch, concentrates on a small group of journalists in Jakarta, who are covering the crisis, and the strange three-way relationship between an Australian correspondent, his extraordinary Chinese-Australian cameraman and the woman they both love.
