The Twentieth Century Masters video features a selection from the 71 works exhibited in the Twentieth Century Masters exhibition at the Australian National Gallery, Canberra and the Queensland Art Gallery, in 1986. Shot at the Australian National Gallery this video includes a number of works in the gallery’s permanent collection by artists represented in the exhibition. School of Paris artists discussed on the video tape include: Picasso, Matisse, Bonnard, Derain, Chagall, Soutine and Modigliani. Other European artists considered are Paul Klee and Max Beckmann.
