A bleak view of a totalitarian future that is visually faithful to the famous novel by George Orwell. John Hurt stars as Winston Smith, the man who revolts against “The Party’s” rules on correct actions, words, gestures and thoughts. Also stars Richard Burton in his last screen role, Suzanna Hamilton, Cyril Cusack and Gregor Fisher. Music score is by Eurythmics and Dominic Muldowney.
