In 1854, the government instigated moves designed to drive the gold miners from Eureka Hill goldfields. The miners showed their opposition to the move by revolting. The legendary leader Peter Lalor is portrayed by Chips Rafferty. Cast includes: Peter Finch, Jane Barrett, Jack Lambert, Gordon Jackson.
