Gerard Depardieu plays a dock-worker seeking the rapist responsible for his sister’s death. He becomes involved with a wealthy woman (Nastassia Kinski) who assists him in his search. “The moon in the gutter” is notable for its visual beauty and its stunning camera work and editing. By the director of “Diva” and “Betty Blue” and based on a book by David Goodis.
